So kind-of spur-of-the-moment Emily and I thought we would go to the Manti Pageant. So we hopped in the car and drove to middle-of-no-where Utah. Yeah, turns out there's a temple AND a pageant.
Once we got of the car we realized it was cold. So I put on my sweatshirt. Then a bunch of people walked by with blankets. Then we realized we were gonna freeze to death. So being the resourceful person I am, I took off the seat covers in my car and we used them as our "blankets." They didn't help much, and we were both wearing flip flops (being true to the Southern California in us) so we froze.
We also had some time before the pageant, so we pulled out our cameras and took some amazing pictures.
Finally the pageant did start and we watched it huddled there close together (for warmth). The pageant covered Joseph Smith's translation of the Book of Mormon, the move out west (and settling the Manti area), and several stories of the Book of Mormon. They did it all in an hour and a half.
Though we enjoyed the pageant as soon as it ended we jumped in the car and headed home with the heater full blast.
